Free construction tool inventory template

Download a clean CSV you can open in Excel or Google Sheets. It’s designed for tool tracking: tool ID, assignee, jobsite/location, last-seen date, and replacement cost.

What’s included

The CSV contains the columns below. Keep it simple: unique tool IDs + “assigned to” + “last seen” will catch most leakage quickly.

Fast setup (10 minutes)

  1. Download the CSV.
  2. Open in Google Sheets or Excel.
  3. Assign tool IDs (start with your most expensive tools).
  4. Print QR labels using the “QR/Barcode Value” field.
  5. Update “Last Seen” during weekly tool cage/seacan checks.

Pro move

Don’t try to track everything on day 1. Start with the top 50–200 tools by replacement cost. You’ll get 80% of the impact fast.
