Free construction tool inventory template
Download a clean CSV you can open in Excel or Google Sheets. It’s designed for tool tracking: tool ID, assignee, jobsite/location, last-seen date, and replacement cost.
What’s included
The CSV contains the columns below. Keep it simple: unique tool IDs + “assigned to” + “last seen” will catch most leakage quickly.
| Column | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Tool ID | Unique ID for labeling (QR/barcode). |
| Category | Useful detail for matching/replacement. |
| Tool Name | Useful detail for matching/replacement. |
| Brand | Useful detail for matching/replacement. |
| Model | Useful detail for matching/replacement. |
| Serial Number | Useful detail for matching/replacement. |
| Purchase Date | Useful detail for matching/replacement. |
| Purchase Price | Useful detail for matching/replacement. |
| Replacement Cost | Lets you quantify loss and budget. |
| Assigned To | Accountability + fast handoff tracking. |
| Jobsite/Location | Where it should be right now. |
| QR/Barcode Value | Useful detail for matching/replacement. |
| Last Seen (Date) | Stops “missing” from becoming “gone.” |
| Condition | Useful detail for matching/replacement. |
| Notes | Useful detail for matching/replacement. |
